How it works

  1. Upload

    German-language documents in euros as PDF (up to 10 pages), JPG, PNG or WEBP, up to 4 MB. The file type is checked from its content.

  2. Review

    Uncertain fields are flagged, missing ones stay empty. Net, tax and gross are recalculated.

  3. Export

    Correct, confirm, download. Your corrections are never overwritten.

What happens to your files

  • The file is sent to Microsoft's Azure AI Document Intelligence for recognition. Readoc itself does not store the original file.
  • Only the extracted fields and your corrections are kept, for 31 days. You can delete any document before then.
  • A credit is only used when a valid result exists. If recognition fails, it is returned.

What Readoc cannot do

  • Recognition makes mistakes, especially with blurry photos and handwriting. Check amounts and dates.
  • Password-protected PDFs and files over the limit are refused.
  • Documents are processed one at a time, not as a batch.
  • Readoc is not bookkeeping and not tax advice.
